01 / OVERVIEW

Product Description

Product construction and operation

A triple-offset butterfly valve uses offset geometry in the shaft and seating arrangement to establish its closing action. Pneumatic actuation provides the rotary drive. Wafer and flanged versions are represented, and the actual seat construction and pressure-temperature envelope must be confirmed for the selected trim.

Configuration features

  • Offset valve geometry differs from a concentric resilient-seated butterfly valve.
  • Wafer and flanged body arrangements require separate dimension checks.
  • Seating torque and permitted pressure direction are essential selection inputs.

Selection and installation details

A triple-offset design description alone does not prove a fire-test approval, zero-leakage class or bidirectional rating. Define the required shut-off performance and request the relevant documentation for the proposed valve. Review seat material, shaft arrangement, temperature expansion and actuator torque settings together. The supplied outline dimensions are configuration dependent and change with the actuator and accessories.

Review supply pressure at the equipment while it is operating, not only the compressor setting. Select accessories and the loss-of-air response for the complete assembly.

Application fit

Industrial process isolation where the specified offset seat construction and operating envelope are appropriate.

Information to include in your enquiry

Include the medium, normal and maximum pressure and temperature, connection dimensions, required operating time and quantity. For an existing installation, add identification photographs and the current assembly drawing.

Confirm the final assembly drawing, materials, ratings and control documentation for the proposed configuration before ordering. Product photographs show representative configurations.

Browse Pneumatic Butterfly Valves, use the actuator sizing checklist, or send your application requirements.
