Product construction and operation

A pneumatic PVC butterfly valve provides quarter-turn disc operation in a plastic-body valve arrangement. It is used with compatible plastic or other correctly matched piping. The pressure rating must be checked for the exact nominal size, material and service temperature.

Selection and installation details

Available sizes and pressure limits vary with the selected valve version. Request the matched pressure-temperature data for the required size. Specify polymer and elastomer grades, operating and cleaning temperatures, and pressure surges. Support the piping and actuator to avoid applying bending load to the plastic valve body.

Review supply pressure at the equipment while it is operating, not only the compressor setting. Select accessories and the loss-of-air response for the complete assembly.
