Product construction and operation

A lined butterfly valve uses a protective lining around the wetted flow path and disc arrangement. The pneumatic actuator operates the quarter-turn disc while the lining system is chosen for the process chemistry and service conditions.

Configuration features

Selection and installation details

The lining and seat must be assessed as separate wetted components where their materials differ. Abrasive solids, cleaning chemicals and temperature changes can affect service life. Provide the complete process range rather than only the normal operating point. Confirm disc clearance, flange-face treatment and the approved installation method so the lining is not damaged by unsuitable gaskets or excessive pipe loads.

Review supply pressure at the equipment while it is operating, not only the compressor setting. Select accessories and the loss-of-air response for the complete assembly.
