Product construction and operation

An electric flanged ball valve combines a flanged valve body, mounting components and a motor-operated rotary actuator. It provides automated isolation or a separately specified positioning function without requiring a local compressed-air supply.

Configuration features

• Bolted flange connections for integration into compatible process piping.
• Electric actuator, coupling and bracket are considered as one drive assembly.
• Control and feedback options must match the plant control system.

Selection and installation details

The actuator voltage visible on one sample photograph is not the supply rating for every assembly. Provide the required electrical supply and wiring arrangement with the valve pressure, temperature and medium. Select output torque using the valve load at the relevant differential pressure, and verify the coupling and mounting design. Define the intended response to loss of power or signal; a standard motor actuator does not automatically provide spring return.

Define the power supply, command signal, position feedback and operating frequency. Confirm the response required after power or signal loss for the selected controls.

Compatible process-water, utility and industrial liquid or gas lines requiring electric remote operation.

Include the medium, normal and maximum pressure and temperature, connection dimensions, required operating time and quantity. For an existing installation, add identification photographs and the current assembly drawing.
