Product Description
Product construction and operation
An electric PVC butterfly valve combines a plastic body and disc-valve arrangement with a part-turn motor actuator. It provides remote operation in compatible plastic piping installations, with the valve pressure-temperature limits assessed separately from the actuator electrical and enclosure requirements.
Configuration features
- Plastic-body configuration for compatible media and operating conditions.
- Motorized quarter-turn drive supports remote switching.
- Mounting and pipe supports must accommodate the actuator mass without overloading the body.
Selection and installation details
Pressure derating, chemical resistance and cleaning compatibility vary with polymer and seal selection. Specify all wetted materials rather than using PVC as a complete assembly specification. Confirm the disc-sweep clearance and the approved tightening procedure for the flanged joint. If throttling or frequent positioning is needed, review both the valve operating range and actuator duty capability.
Define the power supply, command signal, position feedback and operating frequency. Confirm the response required after power or signal loss for the selected controls.
